We are excited that you chose us when purchasing your entry door for your home. Now that you have purchased your new "grand" entry door, your next step is to find the perfect handleset hardware. The guide below will provide the relevant information needed when purchasing your handleset from your hardware supplier.

Tubular Entry Sets

If your door specifies "double bore for handleset and deadbolt, 2-3/8" Backset" you will need a tubular handleset. The important pieces of information to know when ordering:

  1. Function: Single Cylinder is commonly recommended. If you need to know the difference between single and double please contact the handleset manufacturer or supplier. If you have a double door you may also want a "dummy".
  2. Door Thickness: The thickness of all of our standard doors is 1-3/4". You may have ordered a custom 2-1/4" door. If so, your order will specify 2-1/4".
  3. Swing: This will be noted on your order. Right-Hand or Left-Hand In-Swing or Out-Swing (Stated on your order).
  4. Backset: We bore for tubular at a 2-3/8" backset unless otherwise specified on your order. We provide a standard 2-1/8" bore (double for handle and deadbolt), 5-1/2 center-to-center. A backset of 2-3/4" also may be specified if that was requested when you ordered (not typical when ordering from us). If so, will be stated on your order.

Multipoint Locking

If your order specifies "multipoint" you might have purchased the handleset trim from us. If so, it will be on your order. If your order states "multipoint locking mechanism only" you will still need to purchase handleset trim. If purchasing handleset trim you will need to know the following.
